How to practise

  1. Read the displayed four-beat bar. Listen first if the notation is new to you.
  2. Press Start tapping. Wait for four count-in clicks, then tap the written notes and leave the rests silent.
  3. Check missed and extra taps as well as timing. Add eighth notes when quarter notes feel steady.

Questions

What does the notation show?

One bar of 4/4 rhythm on a percussion staff. Filled noteheads with stems are quarter notes; flagged notes are eighth notes. Rests mean silence. The count guide beneath the staff shows positions within the bar.

Can I hear the rhythm before tapping?

Yes. Listen plays the written pattern after a count-in. Listening and replaying do not create a score; each completed tapping round does.

What counts as an accurate tap?

Each expected note can match one tap within the displayed timing window. Missed notes and extra taps reduce the result. Input and audio delay can affect the measurement.
